Who is Hooey?            

Who is Bill Hooey and why should he have his own talk show.  With a zest for life early in his life along with over 30 years of industry experience, Bill Hooey is a true character fitting for his own talk show.  Having worked with over 100 of the biggest names in Rock, Pop, Folk and blues while living in the Philadelphia area from 1969 to 1980 has given Bill a stepping stone forward to moving to Los Angeles where he began his television career.   

Bill quickly rose above the rest with his comedic talents to begin working on one of the greatest, and most popular talk shows, The Johnny Carson show.  The producer’s of the show say Bill’s talent early on and wanted him on the show.  As a freelance writer for the show, Bill attracted many show producer’s attention toward a career in television.   It was his self motivational attitude that would put him in key positions as a producer of the hit series, Bloopers and Practical Jokes, hosted by Dick Clark.  In addition to producing the show, Bill also went on to produce and direct 187 television commercials across a span of 20 years.    In that mix of his producing and directing commercials, he further produced comedy videos that aired on The Max Headroom Show, a hip new MTV style show for the times.           

Bill continues his on-air talent shows, namely with KLSX 97.1 as the host of The LA Personal Radio Show, KNBStv.com where Bill interviews major stars and asks them creative, funny and personal questions.  Bill recently began his own channel on Sprint TV whereby millions of mobile phone users have access to interviews of Bill asking celebrities clever questions.   Hooey’s the Producer

What’s in a Name?           

The puns will be rolling in with name like Bill Hooey.  Even the show name can be changed to turn heads.  For example, what if the show was called, “Hooey Gonna Call?”.  With a last name that sounds like, “Whoya”, there is an endless amount of possibilities of programs segments on the show.  One segment is just that, callers will be able to call in and ask a question staring with, “Whoya…”.  Any question that comes Bill’s way will no doubt be answered whimsically with his quick responding humor.  Punch Television Network is so sure of Bill Hooey’s talent that the studio audience will be laughing on their own resulting in no need for a laugh track during post production.  There will be plenty of Hooey jokes, puns and great humor for many years of programs. 

Show Format            

The Bill Hooey show will have a good mix of guests ranging from cast, crew and musicians.  With Bill’s many years of experience, no question will go unasked.  Bill’s quirky questions give celebrities a double take, making the interview very interesting to watch.  Many times celebrities will be taken aback by Bill’s questions that they both hesitate to answer but will do so knowing the comedic nature of the questions.   In fact, Bill himself wants to be able to spark celebrity interest because his interviews are not obtrusive rather eyebrow raising fun and entertaining.  Not only do the guest feel at ease with Bill and his off the wall humoring questions, the audience will come to know Bill as above average and trendy with the up beat style of Show.   Given Bill is a seasoned professional in on-air, live entertainment, he knows what it takes to raise the bar in capturing audience attention without being overly aggressive.  It is not Bill’s nature to discredit celebrities rather make light of any situation, news or current sound bite that the media is tossing out to the world.
