 Adai Lamar

Host of Lady's Day

Adai (aday) wakes up Los Angeles every weekday morning on 102.3 KJLH.  She has been co-host for several of the station’s morning shows in the last five years.  Adai became the first African American woman to have her own morning drive show in Los Angeles.  When asked about being the first, she delights in saying, “It’s an honor and a blessing, indeed, but now my job is to make sure I am not the last”.  She is dedicated to helping women make strides in the Industry and remain in the forefront.

Her honesty and quick wit are appreciated as she discusses various topics and issues from relationships to the death penalty.  Adai always offers sincere and candid answers and views.  Adai’s “real” perspective and down home personality allows audiences to feel like they have known Adai all of their lives.

Adai started her broadcasting career at the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.  She got her first big break in Oklahoma City on KVSP 1140 as the city’s producer for “The Tom Joyner Morning Show”.  She moved to Hollywood and worked for Kenny “Baby Face” Edmonds and his wife Tracey at
Edmonds Entertainment.

Adai brings a solid, down-to-earth pragmatism to Lady’s Day.
